Central America boasts really great and quality coffee, and El Salvador is one of them. It is a neighbor of Guatemala and Honduras, but don't confuse their tastes, which are truly unique, and this coffee will give you a sweet to caramel taste.
Coffee from El Salvador is one of the most delicious coffees in the world. It is creamy and sweet with a medium body, mild acidity, with citrus, chocolate and caramel tones. It comes from the western region of the country on the border with Guatemala. There are about 20,000 growers in the country, of which 95% are small farmers who farm just under 20 hectares. The SHG (Strictly high growing) classification means that the coffee was grown at a higher altitude, at a lower temperature, which means slower ripening and a denser grain. EP (European preparation), maximum 8 defects per 300g.
